Can you set MAILFROM with a user that your ISP will normally recognise and pass, perhaps with his domain name?

I've tried in my VM but as I don't have RAID I can't configure or test. :(

Does your ISP use e-mail authentication? When it was working, what was the "from address"?

It would be interesting to see your /var/log/maillog when it is trying to send.

Do you run postfix/your own mailserver in ClearOS?

What I'm not so keen on is there is nowhere to specify your mail server in the app.

It is suppose to send email, it use to work, not now.

i've even tried entering MAILADDR my.email@domain.com to /etc/mdadm.conf

tried the test email button and "# mdadm --monitor --scan --test -1"

could my isp be blocking personal email servers? i'm assuming that mdadm acts as it's own server to send notification.

I don't use raid so you'll have to help me.
Do you configure an e-mail address to send to or does it send to root? If it sends to root, have you aliased root to a valid e-mail account. If you configure a specific e-mail address to send to, does your mail log show anything? Also do you use SMTP authentication in your SMTP server?
