my POP/IMAP Server has disappeared from menu and market place
I had it installed on clearos 7 and was working. Yesterday I tried to get openvpn to work and now POP/IMAP Server doesn't work and has disappeared.

I mainly use OpenVPN Connect. You don't need or want the p12 file, so, from your list you want 1, 3 and 4 and the .ovpn profile file. If they are in the same place on you phone, you then, in OpenVPN Connect, select Settings (three vertical "."_) > Import > Import Profile from SD card, navigate to the .ovpn file and import it. It will automatically import the certificates at the same time. You do not need to import the PKCS#12.

    OK:

    I got (1) ca-cert.pem (2) client-hs.p12 (3) client-hs-cert.pem (4) client-hs-key.pem

when trying to import the .p12 file into OpenVPN Connect I get this error message:
profile filename must have extension .ovpn:client-hs.p12

@ Nick: I had no time yet to try again. I do get those 4 files and when I try to import them into the Android openvpn client, I sort of (and I must check this again) got an error message concerning the file extensions. As I said, until I try again, at this stage the problem is unclear and in my understanding confused. But with your permission I will contact you again. Perhaps then I should reopen the issue under the openvpn forum. Thanks!

I wonder if that is the issue. You need four files, the Certificate, Certificate Authority, Private Key and Configuration File. You need the Linux configuration (which appears to be the same as the MacOS config).

I tried importing with the profile option. then the cert is listed as invalid but then would not accept the override...
I would have to try your method, I thought I did but had trouble getting the three files. I logged into clearos as user and then downloaded the files: but here some confusion started because the android option was not listed. I assume I should use the Linux option... anyway I did not get the right three files but will try again...
Nick, thank you for all your help...

That does not make sense with OpenVPN and Android. I often use it. I mainly use the official OpenVPN Connect app, but sometimes use the OpenVPN for Android app. Both work if you copy the ovpn file and the three certificate files into, say, the downloads folder, then import the .ovpn profile into the app. If the certificates are in the same file location as the .ovpn file, they get imported at the same time. I have it on 4 Android devices.

imap and pop are listed again in marketplace: at least I can reinstall it...
@ Nick: My android openvpn client did not accept the self-sign security certificate. I played around trying to regenerate the cert a couple of times and registering a new user with the appropriate user privileges. I simply gave up and uninstalled openvpn and then my mail stopped working: Indeed it disappeared altogether. Now the imap/pop server is listed again in marketplace but server is not installed. As I said, now I can reinstall the server...

Weird. On all my systems I can see the Webconfig POP and IMAP, but on one of them I can't see it in the marketplace. Can you try clearing the Marketplace cache. In the marketplace screen click on the gear symbol then clear cache. Unfortunately it did not help for me where I was not seeing apps I expected (FTP and IMAP). I have pinged the devs but they won't be around for a while.

I also mentioned you Webconfig issue with POP/IMAP server.

What was the problem with OpenVPN?
