DHCP Server only works to OLD/Previous subnet....giving out 192.168.0.x instead of 192.168.1.x

    So update it? Network > Infrastructure > DHCP Server.

    BTW, 192.168.0.0/24 and 192.168.1.0/24 are best avoided if you can. There are plenty of other better /24 subnets available in the RFC1918 address space.

    Also ..... (could be related) pressing F2 on the terminal freezes the console * all AltF2-AltF6 terminals. SSH still works.
    Oddly F4 (netwok stats ) works.

    The file is /etc/dnsmasq.d/dhcp.conf. Are you sure you don't have another DHCP server enabled on your network? Perhaps a router acting as a WAP?

    well well well ......the problem turned out to be .......a PCMCIA card had been inserted & it took a port 53 resource....UNBELIEVABLE LOL
