@Robert - yes...I wrote a document outlining the upgrade process. It's available here:

Dear Ben,
Sorry for asking again. I do not mean to rush. I just checked the ClearOS Business Marketplace and I cannot find Zarafa Business any more, just Kopano Basic and Zarafa Community Edition.
Is there an update path for Zarafa Business users in the future to Kopano or what is happening, when my current Zarafa Business licence needs to be extended?
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Robert -

Does it mean I can switch from Zarafa Business to Kopano Basic now or is there a reason not to do so?
I haven't worked on an upgrade path yet.
It definitely should be 'do-able'. It will be a manual process requiring some downtime and a very detailed 'howto'. I don't have an estimate on availability at this time.

Ah yes...the bundles. I just got confirmation from Mike that the plan will be to remove Zarafa 7.2 from the Home Bundle as ClearCenter would be doing everyone a disfavour of encouraging the use of software that is (to my knowledge) no longer being maintained.
I didn't get a clear answer as to whether the Zarafa Community 7.2 will be made freely available...it's Tim's app. Again though, as nice as 'free' is, it does nobody any good if a critical piece of software (like a communication suite) is no longer being maintained.
Still some questions remaining, but my guess is that if your on any edition (Community, Home or Business) and you're looking to run a mail server, the options will be down to the 'open stack' (Cyrus, Postfix, ClamAV, Amavis, Spamasssin etc.) or Kopano Basic (and in the future, Pro).

Hi Ben,
I see in the Marketplace that Kopano Basic is available for the Business package.
Are there plans to make Kopana available for the Home Edition (with a special package price) -

I originally installed ClearOS 7.1 for a test run and had to leave the testing project for a period of time. I came back recently and updated to 7.3, ran into the same issue as Matthew (B.T.W. thank you for the solution).

For what it's worth, I found this post because my system updated to 7.3 and I started receiving the mass errors every five minutes in journalctl. The fix is to edit /usr/clearos/apps/base/deploy/servicewatch and remove the services there that aren't on the system (in my case, it was zarafa-*, ibvpn, eziod, and vpnwatchd). -

Do I understand it correctly, that Zarafa will be removed? I am on Zarafa Business and if ClearOS changes to Kopano I would like to know how to migrate.
@Robert - Zarafa (now Kopano) offers free upgrades from Zarafa Small Business subscriptions to Kopano Basic Subscriptions (functionally equivalent - marketing change).
You'll be able to migrate to Kopano 8...not automatically - it will require a 'howto' to be created and verified...it's on my 'todo' list.

A full packages provided by ClearCenter as now with Zarafa and Z-push is a big added value.
Will ClearCenter be a Kopana partner and will "sell" a license within a complete packages as now with Zarafa ? or will ClearCenter not offering the mail integrated packageslike Zarafa any more ?[/quote]

Install 2 Packages (+9 Dependent packages)
Upgrade 428 Packages
Remove 1 Package
Total download size: 404 M
Update ran fine - though a significant pause at updating microcode-ctl had me concerned for awhile :-)
Rebooted to the new kernel 3.10.0-514.2.2.v7.x86_64
Machine is just running boinc - both cores at 100% just to see if the base system is stable..
Only issue noted so far is this noise in /var/log/messages

Also when I went into webconfig - it said the system was not registered (it had been)
- though looking in the portal it seemed to have updated to 7.3 - anyway...
Did a "reinstall/update" and now is an additional system with a capital "S" for Sandra - was "sandra"
sandra sandra2.poweredbyclear.com Community 7.3 Active Select
Sandra sandra3.poweredbyclear.com Community 7.3 Active Select

Yes...the integration/conversion and packaging is already complete and just needs some sanity checking. ClearCenter will be offering Kopano Basic (in place of Zarafa SMB) out of the gate (likely release Jan. or Feb. 2017) with plans to offer Kopano Pro later in the 2017 calendar year. Pro offers the video conferencing feature from Kopano along with a higher level of support.
There are no plans for a Kopano Community Edition, but Tim's Zarafa Community (7.2.14) will still be available.

Hi Patrick,
We can put the 2.3.x release in the "updates-testing" repository once we start the 7.3 release cycle. The Z-push 2.2.12/13 releases have been field tested via "updates-testing" since Auguest, so it's ready for general release. We'll do the same for the 2.3.x release - we'll have it in "updates-testing" for those who need it and see how it goes in the field.
Hi Peter,
Makes sence.
When 2.3.x will available i'll do some testing and keep you updated.

Everything should be staged in clearos-updates-testing by next week. The big show stoppers right now are:
- kernel build
- clearos-ecap-adapter build (used by Squid)
- anaconda build (the installer)
- Samba upgrade sanity checking (upstream went from Samba 4.2.10 to 4.4.4)
The other tracker items in the 7.3.0 task list are not in the critical path. In other words, it will be possible to start beta testing 7.3 without those tasks being completed.
Hopefully not as long drawn out as the ClearOS 6.8 release...
The build process and repo layout changed quite drastically from 6.7 to 6.8. That's not an issue with the 7.3 release.

Thanks Peter that helps with planning... am in the process of building a ClearOS 7 production server (finally) - but in no rush ** as 6.8 is mighty stable... Since 7.3 beta is that close will see how 7.3 goes on my 7.3 test server and go from there.
** This has halted anyway as logrotate on 7.2 just isn't working properly (missed a week and erratic time of rotation) and must be fixed first - subject of another thread... my test server wasn't powered 24 x 7 so the problem didn't surface. The production server in build is running 24 x 7 - just running boinc flat-out currently as a shake-down. As well as the logrotate problem - the other issue is the enormous amount of noise in /var/log/messages with 7.2... -
