Good day!
I have been using ClearOS when it was ClarkConnect and have simply loved using this software with few, if any, issues or problems. Thank-you Clear!!!
I have never been an early adopter of any software and bide my time until any software or upgrade has been thoroughly vetted and bugs worked out.The value of forums such these are very valuable when an update is rolled out and the community lights up. And I always use a new or refurbished piece of hardware for a new OS as important as my firewall/router..
ClearOS 6.9.0 has an end of life of September 2019 per my system. There have been, as far as I can determine, no updates to my system for many-many months, . Seems like EOL has come a year early if not earlier!
Are there any final updates planned? (My version states "(Final)" but have had updates with that attached to the version number).
Thanks!
John

Final refers to the minor version number, not the major. Meaning you are not running the beta or release candidate of 6.9.
We do plan for a parting update. Now that 7.6 is out, we have some cycles to work on it. However, one of my lead engineers is on vacation for a few weeks and will only be able to work on it towards the end of June - July. If we can resolve a particular issue then we may extend support for 6 but currently it is much more difficult to push updates to 6 than 7 due to certain issue we are working to resolve.
It is a good idea though to make plans to move to 7 or to at least test it.
