So - the external interface for Clear OS...

I will connect to my ISP router, and thats fine, but do i now stick its address (10.0.0.2) into the dmz so it goes out of the router scot free - or do i keep it behind my isps router aswell?

I have the option of turning off the firewall on my isp router too. Should i turn this off and trust clearOS with all traffic, or as its just a basic firewall that stops incoming requests should i leave it on?

Ideally you put the ISP router into bridge mode and rely on the ClearOS firewall. This way ClearOS gets your router's WAN IP. You should not need the DMZ. Bridge mode may possibly be achieved by disabling NAT and the firewall in the router if there is not some sort of "bridge" menu option.
