After upgrading Owncloud to 8.2.4 I am having a strange issue. The issue is that every time the server is rebooted none of my clients (except the admin account) can login into Owncloud. When a client tries to login, the message "Wrong password. Reset it?" appears. I have went into the user dashboard of ClearOS and reset to password without any success.
The only way I can get Owncloud to work is to uninstall/install and it will work until the next reboot.
So far, Owncloud running under ClearOS has been very unreliable.

Any suggestions??

Can you login as admin? That's a different user type that authenticates against a Mariadb user, not LDAP.

If you can, use the advanced tools the admin account to test the LDAP connection before reinstalling.

I am able to login as the admin. I was able to get into the advanced tools, but when I tested the configuration, I get "Lost connection to LDAP server.".

Sounds a bit like this bug.

How did the upgrade go? Did you read along on this post?

Sounds like /usr/clearos/apps/owncloud/deploy/update-ldap didn't run at all or properly...you can run that script post upgrade and see if it fixes your LDAP settings or just use the info in the bug tracker to fix your settings via the admin user.
