Hello,
My apologies if this isn't the right thread to post this on. I installed COS for the first time today to try out the Gateway mode and IDS and IPS, along with Content Filtering and Protocol Filtering. I ran into an issue, where I can't get the get the local PCs to talk to ClearOS.
Router>COS (Gateway)>Switch>PC
On the router, I have the wan port plugged into the internet. On the LAN ports on the router, I have Port 1 going into COS external NIC, then out the internal LAN NIC, into the switch, but can't connect to COS.
The Router is hosting the DNS, DHCP, and NAT
The PC can't ping COS.
COS:
Mode: Gateway
Hostname - clearos.isis.local (isis.local is the network i wanted to test COS with, but isis.local network isn't attached to COS, yet).
DNS Server #1 - 192.168.2.1 (router)
Eth0 - Lan 192.168.2.220 - connected
Eth1 - External 192.168.2.221 - connected
In Directory>Domain and LDAP:
Domain: isis.local
Publish Policy: Disabled
Mode: Standalone
When I have COS just part of the network and nothing going through the external NIC. I can ping COS just fine and even log in.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Jonathan
