Installed V6.6.1 from DVD and upon rebooting am able to log in and arrive at a # prompt.

Problem is I am not getting an IP address from my router DHCP server so I am unable to access the web gui.

From the # prompt, the ifconfig command shows no ip4 address.

If I boot Mint 17 from a usb stick everything works fine.

Any ideas what's up with clearos?

Intel d945gnt motherboard
on-board nic
Celeron processor

This must be something related to your NIC or Network as this is not commonly seen with ClearOS.

    Doink.

Well I thought I would try a re-install without the 2nd NIC in case that was screwing things up. Early indications were positive, the on-board NIC LEDs blinked away indicating some action so I was hopeful that things would turn out better. Sadly this optimism proved illusory and I ended up with an identically non-responsive network.

Still open to ideas though before I ditch ClearOS and try an alternative distro...
