I needed php 5.5 minimum to use Joomla 3 on my ClearOS web server, so I used remi's repository and his rpm's, which did the trick, but now I get "The requested URL /mysql was not found on this server." when I try to access mysql using phpMyAdmin from the Webconfig. I figure it's broken. I'm still researching and trying to fix it, but what better place than on the forum? Any ideas on what to look for?

It's good to be back, btw. I've been away a while.

Dirk

This works with a fresh install of ClearOS 7.x: http://wikisuite.org/How-to-install-PHP-5-6-on-ClearOS

phpMyAdmin link is no longer broken but it was for a while. I doubt old installs will fix themselves though.

    Alternative to phpMyAdmin:

    Hi Dirk,
As I said earlier, /usr/clearos/framework/htdocs/mysql does not exist in my 6.8 VM, but phpMyAdmin works fine.

Maybe someone could post what their mysql file looks like in /usr/clearos/framework/htdocs/mysql and I could make one up that would work with phpMyAdmin?

    ..... but:
    [root@ClearOS6_5 ~]# locate htdocs/mysql
    /usr/clearos/apps/mysql/htdocs/mysql.js.php
    /usr/clearos/apps/mysql/htdocs/mysql_50x50.png
Does this give any clues? Is something looking in the wrong location?

I've just fired up my 6.8 VM. The file does not exist there but phpMyAdmin still works. It suggests to me that it is either a red herring or that there is a config file pointing to that location which should not, but I'm only guessing.

That's a ClearOS file so I'm not sure why upgrading php would touch it.

FWIW, I don't think anyone has cracked the issue in ClearOS, or, at least, posted any solution. One person suggested using adminer instead (when they upgraded to php 5.6)

I'm seeing this in my Webconfig error log:

    "File does not exist: /usr/clearos/framework/htdocs/mysql..."

There is no mysql file in this directory, I'm sure thanks to upgrading php using remi's php5.5 rpm...no slight on him.
