Hi,
I've been testing 7.2 latelly and i'm really trying to get it into production, but the latest kernel update makes the accounting system (LDAP) go offline and if i simply reboot and use the older kernel the accounting system is back on.
I'm also seeing the firewall go into panic mode, even if its disabled, but its alot more frequent if I use the server in gateway mode. I have not obvserved if using the older kernel will produce the panic mode.
Maybe its a bug, maybe not, but i'm tired of reinstalling.
here are the kernels versions
ClearOS (3.10.0-327.10.1.v7.x86_64) 7 (Final) <<<<<< DOES NOT WORK
ClearOS (3.10.0-327.3.1.el7.x86_64) 7 (Final) <<<<<< WORKS
Any suggestions?
I'm about to configure the system to always boot on the old kernel (for now)

Thought so....ya, it's a really annoying bug that has cropped up in the latest release, presumably something to do with the PHP version. A PITA.
I think we may have to hack in a button or something on that "Account offline" to trigger a manual Webconfig restart...we really had hoped to avoid that since restarting Weboconfig is never very 'user friendly' when you're doing it from the browser, but not sure we have a choice.

Hi Ben,
Just tried your suggestion and it worked, until I rebooted again and then I had to restart webconfig again.
My guess is that this will be fixed in a future update and I'll have to live with it for now but thats ok
hopefully the firewall panic mode will be as easy.
Thanks for pointing me to the right direction, -

Sounds like this bug.
Are you sure it's kernel related? Try a:
service webconfig restart
and see if that resolves your issue.
