October is here and so is Service Pack 1 for ClearOS Enterprise 5.2!  We have added a couple of new features in this release:

  • The ability to enable services (for example, Content Filter Updates) on the fly.
  • The ability to install software modules from the ClearOS community and third party vendors.

The third party software modules integration in the service pack is just a start.  We are working away on the next generation in ClearOS 6.0.

Service Pack 1 also includes all the bug and security updates that have been released up to October 21, 2010.  You can see the full list of updates on the ClearCenter Software Updates web site.   You can also find more information in the release notes.  If you have the original release installed, there is no need to re-install or upgrade.  All you need to do is install the updates from the ClearCenter > Software Updates page in webconfig and you will have an up-to-date system.
